Bhatkal: The crescent moon was not sighted on Saturday evening, which marks Sunday as last day of Dhul Qada and the commencement of twelfth Islamic month Dhul Hijjah will be from 12th July, Monday.

Muslims in Coastal Karnataka kept an eye out for crescent moon after Maghrib prayers , but there were no reports from anywhere regarding the moon sighting.

Accordingly, the first day of Dhul Hijjah will be on 12th July, Monday, and Eid Al Adha will be observed on Wednesday, July 21, as it falls on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah in Bhatkal and Coastal Karnataka.
