Bhatkal: 'Face action if laws taken into hands', ASP Nikhil warns

Bhatkal: Communal harmony is very essential even during the times of pandemic, strict legal actions will be taken against those taking laws into their own hands, warned Bhatkal ASP Nikhil B.

He was speaking at a peace meeting held at Assistant Commissioner's office here ahead of Eid Ul Adha. He said, the police department is available for people 24 hours, hence one can reach police if there's any issue, and should not take laws into their own hands. "Locals have cooperated very well in containing the spread of COVID-19. The same cooperation is also required even during festivals", he added.

Bhatkal Assistant Commisoner, Mr Bharath, speaking on this occasion, asked Muslim brethren to maintain social distancing and other safety norms during festival celebration.

On this occasion Bhatkal Tahsildar S Ravi Chandra, CPI Diwakar, SI Bharath and others were present. Various community leaders were also present in the meeting.
