Bhatkal: A theft has been reported at a house in Goodluck road 6th cross, near National highway, Bhatkal. It has been learned that the thieves entered into house when the members of the house were away.
The house belonged to Syed Mohsin S Iqbal. He has informed that a total worth of Rs. 24,64,800 has been stolen from the house including diamonds worth Rs. 1 lakh, cash amount of Rs. 12 lakh and jewelry.
According to sources, the house was locked from 3rd July 03:00pm to 8th July 9:00am as the occupants were away. But when they returned, they found that the lock was broken and the goods and cash worth more than 24 lakh were missing from the house.
The Rural Crime PSI Panjappa and CSI Suresh Naik registered a case at Bhatkal Rural Police Station once they were informed about the robbery.
The investigations are going on and search is in progress for the thieves.
