Bhatkal: Taking the third position in Karwar education district, the Bhatkal taluk secured 79.92% results in the SSLC exams conducted earlier this year. The results came out on Friday.
A total of 2,130 students including 999 boys and 934 girls had appeared for SSLC examinations in Bhatkal this year.
Apeksha Manoj Murdeshwar of R.N.S. Vidyaniketan High School, Murdeshwar topped with 621 marks and 99.36%, standing first in Bhatkal. She also secured fifth position in the state.
Poorvi Naik of Annad Ashram High School, Bhatkal has scored 620 marks i.e 99.2% and secured second place in Bhatkal Taluk.
Another student from Anand Ashram convent school, Shreyank Shridhar Shet and C R Smita of St. Thomas High School, Shirali, both scored 616 marks i.e 98.56% and took the third place in the Taluk.
According to a statement released by the office of BEO, Government Urdu high school Jamia Jali achieved a stunning 100% pass result this year.
Similarly, students of Shams English medium school, Khatija Zuha scored 607 (97.12%) and appeared in top 10 students of Bhatkal.
A Urdu medium student from Government Urdu high school situated in thee Jamia Jali area, has scored a remarkable 87.04% and took the first position in Urdu medium section.
The highlight was a son of Coolie, Tirumal maria Gonda of Governemnt High School, who made his family and teachers proud by scoring 612 marks with 97.92%. He secured the top position in Kannada medium and scored full marks in Kannada as well as English.
