Bhatkal: After the announcement of dates for Lok Sabha elections on Sunday evening, the implementation of poll code of conduct came into effect, following the Bhatkal Municipal Officers began evacuating advertising boards installed at various spots in the taluk. 

The operation continued on Monday morning, where officers were seen removing flex boards in different areas in the taluk. The flex boards in the campus of government offices displaying Prime Minister's photo too was evacuated.

Officers also alerted that a strict investigation will be launched on those who will violate the code of conduct.
