Bhatkal observes 'Mask Day' to raise COVID-19 awareness

Bhatkal: As part of the government’s decision, Jali Town Panchayat  have organised the ‘mask day’ in Bhatkal on Thursday, June 18, to create better awareness about Covid-19 precautions.

“We are celebrating ‘Mask Day’ at Jali Town Panchayat area. We have organised a walk from Jali Cross, National Highway 66, Ameenuddin Road, Azad Nagar and back to Jali Cross, Bhatkal, to create awareness about the importance of wearing a mask as a preventive measure against COVID-19,”  said Chief Officer V Shastri.

We will take strict action against those who are not maintaining social distancing. A fine will be also imposed on those for not wearing a mask in public places,” he said.
