Bhatkal: The NSS branch and Echo club were inaugurated in Govt PU college here in Bhatkal by the director of HESCOM, Manjunath Naik Karvalli. After inaugurating, he addressed the students and advised them to come forward in social activities. Discipline, self-control, unity, and many other things are possible to achieve through NSS, he said.

Present as the Chief guest on the occasion, president of Yalvadi-Kavoor gram panchayat, Shivshaila M Nayak, said, personal contribution, leadership quality, unity and the passion of serving the society can be achieved through NSS.

College development board member Ganesh Sheshagiri, vice-president of gram panchayat Abdur Razzak and Member Manju Gonda too addressed the students on the occasion.

Presiding the event, college principal, Vasanth Rao Gaonkar said that through NSS, by having contacts with many people, a new society can be developed to reach the motive. 

Ramanand Naik welcomed the guests and students, while Mamata and Sathvi led the prayers. Latha and Sathvi sang the NSS anthem. Ramanath Naik led a vote of thanks and Geetha Naik compered over the event.
