Bhatkal: Alleging that the newly implemented medical law by the central government is creating difficulties for the doctors, the members of Indian Medical Association Bhatkal unit submitted a memorandum in the name of Prime Minister through Bhatkal assistant commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla in Bhatkal on Sunday.
The memorandum stated that the medical professionals are being assaulted even there are no mistakes from them. The central government's new law is like encouraging of oppressions on doctors. If the complaint is filed by the doctor, the new law doesn't mention severe punishment against the assaulters. The doctor may have possibilities of going to jail. Doctors have been forced to go to the High Court to get rid of the charges.
The memorandum was then submitted to Bhatkal AC Sajid Ahmed Mulla.
On this occasion, Bhatkal Indian Medical Association President Dr Abdul Khadir, Dr R V Saraf, Dr Ganesh Prabhu, Dr Vineeta Nayak, Dr Nurul Ameen, Dr Yaseen Mohtisham, Dr Vishwanath Naik, Dr Gayatri Prabhu, Dr Janardhan Moger, Dr Naseem Khan, Dr Naseer and many others were present.
