Bhatkal: After two years of experience in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), former Bhatkal MLA J D Naik made a 'U-turn' and joined Congress party again officially at a party's state headquarters in Bengaluru on Wednesday, 20th February. He was welcomed back into the party by KPCC chief Dinesh Gundu Rao along with Revenue Minister RV Deshpande.
Rumours of him rejoining Congress were doing rounds since the visit of District in-charge Minister RV Deshpande to Bhatkal on January, which has now been confirmed.
A few months before Lok Sabha elections, the leader has decided to come back to the Congress party. This was nine months after the assembly elections.
It will now be interesting to see where this move takes the political career of J.D. Naik.
