Minister Ramanath Rai inaugurates Thimmakka Tree Park in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: Two new tourist places have been opened by the forest department in order to increase tourist footfalls in the coastal region of Karnataka.

Forest Minister Ramanath Rai inaugurated the Saalumarada Thimmakka Tree Park near Sagar road here at Bhatkal on 24th July, Monday. The district, which has a number of tourism destinations such as beaches, forests, waterfalls and trekking circuits, attracts a large number of tourists from all over.

The newly inaugurated tree park in Sagar road and eco-beach in Haadin village are located close to Bhatkal town. Hence, it is expected that the tourist footfall in the town is going to gradually increase.

According to sources, the Tree Park has been created at a cost of Rs 75 lakh, which has a variety of medicinal plants, amusement park and adventure equipment for children.

Forest officials stated that the eco-beach at Haadin is a must visit place. Located about 9 km from Bhatkal town, this coastal village is enriched with forest and natural beauty.
