Bhatkal: The scale of development remains limited to basic facilities only and no attention is being paid towards economic, social and cultural development, said Minister Anant Kumar Hegde expressing his views on the absence of old traditions for development of our government.
He was addressing at a meeting held by the Bhatkal BJP unit at Shree Nag Yaksha Hall on 11th September, Monday.
Replying to felicitations by the Bhatkal unit of BJP, he said that there is a vast need to develop and nurture medicinal plants and the ‘Skill India’ concept is about exploring new opportunities and job avenues for youth in rural areas and ensure that they remain rooted to their jobs.
He further stated, “To improve the skills of his/her village based industries, common people need innovative ideas and opportunities, and the skill development industry will provide a platform for the same.”
Expressing his opinion about being appointed the Union minister, he said that the seat on which he sits might change, but his blood which is meant for serving the nation and its citizens will never change.
