Bhatkal:  In a grisly road accident that took place between two bikes, one of the bike rider was reportedly killed, while other two sustained grievous injuries, near Terenmakki church here at Bhatkal on 1st August, Tuesday. 

The deceased has been identified as Chandrashekhar Naik, a resident of Kotabagila, Shirali in the taluk.

Mahesh Manjunath Naik and Anand Sukhra Naik were seriously injured in the accident. They were immediately rushed to Kundapur for further treatment after providing initial treatments at Bhatkal Govt hospital. 

It is gathered that Mahesh and Anand were traveling to Murdeshwar from Shirali, while Chandrashekhar was coming towards Shirali when the accident occurred.

A case has been registered at Murdeshwar police station.
