Bhatkal: Anjuman Degree College and PG centre, Bhatkal lifts victory and registered its championship after defeating Shivaji Arts & Commerce College, Baad-Karwar by 1-0 in the ' KUD Single zone Intercollegiate football tournament', which held at Taluka stadium in Mundgod.

A total of 14 teams from various colleges under Karnataka University Dharwad, contested in the tournament for the championship, which was played on 4th and 5th February 2019.

In the final, the goal was scored by Iftikhar Ahmed. 

The champions and runners up, Anjuman Degree College and PG centre, Bhatkal and Shivaji Arts & Commerce College, Baad-Karwar respectively were awarded with attractive trophies. Mr Iftikar Ahmed of Anjuman Degree College and PG centre, Bhatkal was named as the player of the tournament, while Mr Mohammed Tanhaaz Adhoni of Nehru Degree College, Hubballi named as Best Striker. Mr. Akshay Shirodkar of  Shivaji Arts & Commerce College, Baad-Karwar awarded as Best Midfielder and Mr. Mallikarjun of JSS College, Dharwad awarded as Best  Defender. Best goal keeper award went to Mr. Mohammed Mibzal Shabandri of Anjuman Degree College and PG center, Bhatkal and the 'player of the final title' was taken by Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed.

On their achievements, President of Anjuman Hami Muslimeen Jukaku Abdul Raheem, General Secretary Ismail Siddique, College Secretary Mohsin Shabandri, Principal Mustaque Shaikh, Physical Director Kaleemullah and college staffs congratulated.
