Bhatkal: Anjuman Institute of Management & Computer Application organized its 23rd annual day celebrations at its college seminar hall here in Anjumanabad on Monday ,8th April 2019.
Speaking on the occasion Chief guest Dr. B B Biradar, Assistant Professor Karnataka College, Dharwad, addressing the students, said, the skills are much important than marks obtained by a student. He explained it saying that a student enters into the corporate organization with the required minimum marks, while the future depends upon the skills the student has. We need to improve and have a best of communication skills, which will help us in crossing rest of the things flow easily.
Further speaking, Guest of honour, Mr. Ahmed Qamar Merchant, Alumini of Anjuman, IT Project Manager, Muscat Clearing & Depository, Oman, recalled his college days. He lauded the efforts of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen and thanked the management for inviting him. He said that the days have completely changed, where he can easily give opinions to Board of directors, management etc, but it feels difficult to interact with students from the dias. He also spoke about the skills required in IT industries and threw some information related to financial market.
On the occasion, University Rank Holders were felicitated with certificate and cash prize of Rs 10,000/- each names as follows are Miss Qurratul Ain Mushtaq Ahmed Shaikh secured 1st rank with 91.74% in 2017, Mr. Anzaf Gauher Damudi secured 6th rank with 84.72% in 2017, Mohammed Salman Abdul Gani Fotkar secured ninth rank with 83.67% in 2017 and Mariam Hira Irshad Ekkeri secured second rank with 93% in 2018.
In sports Mohammed Salman of BBA final year was also feliciated with cash prize of Rs 5,000/- for being University Blue in Swimming.
Meanwhile, several students were awarded Trophies, Certificates and Cash prizes for their performance and achievements in Academics, Sports and co-curricular activities during the academic year.
The program began with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Shuraim Armar, followed by the Naat was sung by Shamshunnisa Barmawar, Anthem of Anjuman by Saira Khayal, while General Secretary for Ladies Sana Abdul Khadir Karani welcomed and introduced the guests. Principal Mohammed Mohsin K presented the annual report, while Madah Moulana delivered vote of thanks.
