Bantwal: Death threats received by Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat

Bantwal: A provocative post was found on a Facebook page named ‘Mangalore Muslims’ on 7th July, Friday which had a death threat for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.

The post went viral soon and was deleted within hours. The post mentioned that it would be the last day in the life of Prabhakar Bhat and the viewers were asked to choose the color of flag in which his dead body will be wrapped.

According to sources, another such post appeared on same page after the death of RSS worker, Sharath, who was attacked by miscreants. It stated that another wicket has fallen and now it was time it happened in Kalladka. This post too was deleted soon.

It was learned that such posts which incite religious tension were common on that page and many have criticized police department for becoming silent spectators to such developments which have the potential of playing havoc with peace in the society.

Responding to these threats Bhat said, “I believe that God decides how long one should live, not people who post such threats". He has also requested the police to take immediate steps to arrest the people who behind these provocative posts.
