Karwar: In the last 24 hours till Thursday 8:00 am, the Uttara Kannada district has received an average rainfall of 62 mm.

This includes 53.6 mm in Ankola, 67 mm in Bhatkal, 33.8mm in Haliyal, 65.2mm in Honnavar, 103.4mm in Kumta, 15.22 mm in Mungdod, 96.2 mm in Siddpaur, 61mm in Sirsi, 68.4mm in Joida and 75.2mm in Yellapur.

According to the sources the Bommanahalli reservoir is nearing full due to copious rain since a week, the people residing along the banks and downstream the reservoir, have been asked to move to safer places along with their cattle until the situation is under control.
