Bhatkal: The annual seven-day camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS), attached to Anjuman Degree College and PG Center in Bhatkal, here was inaugurated on Saturday by General Secretary Ismail Siddique .
In his address, Mr. Siddique said that the NSS had always played a big role in moulding students who remained committed to development of the country.
HOD of Kannada Department, Professor R S Nayak delivered the keynote address.
The camp is being held in the campuses of Government school, Gandhinagar, Heble in Bhatkal. Seminars on various topics and cultural programmes form part of the camp.
Social worker Meeran Siddique, College Board Secretary Mohsin Shabandri, Additional Secretary Ishaque Shabandri, Principal Mustaque Shaikh, NSS Officer Professor Manjunath Prabhu and many others were present.
