Bhatkal: The Anjuman Degree College Bhatkal won the overall championship in the SDM Jhenkar Festival organized by the SDM PG Centre, Ujire in belthangadi, near Mangalore.
The two days fest Jhenkar was an educational and cultural extravaganza which was organized by various departments of SDM PG Centre, Ujire.
The “SDM Jhenkar Fest” was witnessed by nearly 2000 students from across the state. The students participated in various events such as young scientist, news anchoring, creative writing, radio jockey, kite making and flying, short film making, desi walk, contemporary dance and treasure hunt etc.
Bhatkal Anjuman students Abdul Muhaimin Sada (B.com 2nd year) was declared first in news Anchoring, while Nazeef Manegar (Bsc 3rd) and Afnan Kola (Bcom 3rd) were declared first in Best Creative Writing and Best Kite Making and Flying respectively. Nooh Mohtesham and team got 3rd position in the Short Movie category.

President Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Mr Abdul Raheem Jukaku, General Secretary Siddique Ismail, Additional Secretary Ishaque Shanbandari, College Board Secretary Javed Hussain Armar, Principal Mushtaque Shaikh along with the staff, have congratulated the whole team for their best performance.
