Bengaluru: On the backdrop of the reopening of the schools from August 23, Karnataka Primary and secondary education Minister B C Nagesh on Monday said all the teachers will be vaccinated before the schools reopen in the state.
Speaking to media persons, he said the government issued the government today Education Minister guidelines to the department of education to take all necessary steps to vaccinate teachers by August 23.
Already eighty percent are vaccinated and even it was 100 pc in some taluks. Besides, he said the roadmap will be set for the start of schools.
Only schools with less than 2 pc positivity will be started. Attendance for children is not compulsory. If the infection is detected, such schools will be closed, he said.
It is a round table negotiation with private educational institutions. We cannot impose anything on a democratic system. To what extent have government regulations been implemented? We stand on behalf of government students and parents. Wherever there is a problem, the government has resolved the issues within the framework of the government, he added.
