Bhatkal: A free clinic under the aegis of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem was started here at Nawayath Colony, opposite to Life Care hospital on Monday, where two doctors and a nurse will give services to the patients.
Maulvi Abdul Raqeeb MJ Nadvi, General Secretary of Tanzeem, said that with the arrival of monsoon, this free clinic has been started by Tanzeem for the treatment of cold, cough and other common ailments including fever. He said that along with Dr. Muhammad Unais and Dr. Muhammad Mansoor Ali, a nurse is also rendering her services here.
Today, on Monday, the first day, between 11 AM and 1 PM, 12 patients have undergone self-examination and treatment. The service will also be provided from 5 PM to 7 PM. In addition to this clinic, the Tanzeem also has a COVID Care Center in Life Care, where Coronavirus patients are being treated.
The General Secretary of Tanzeem has appealed to the people to avail all the services provided by the organization.
It may be recalled, Tanzeem in collaboration with other organizations, is also running a mobile clinic in Bhatkal along with for the surrounding areas, under which an ambulance is visiting different areas on different days and reaching the homes of the people and providing free treatment. After offering its services in different parts of Bhatkal city, this mobile clinic is now visiting the villages.
President of Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation, Maulvi Azeezur Rahman Ruknaddin Nadvi, said that so far the mobile clinic van has provided services at Mood Bhatkal, Muthalli, Mankuli, Bunder, Hurlisaal, Sarpankatta, Ranginkatta, Asarkeri as well as several villages in the neighboring Honnavar taluk. The van has also visited and prescribed treatment to hundreds of patients. Now as per schedule, the mobile clinic is visitiy Tengingundi, Jamiabad, Murdeshwar, Manki and Samsi.
