Kumta: In a disgusting road accident between bike and a car at NH66, the motorcyclist killed on the spot, while his father sustained grievous injuries to his body. The incident took place during the concluding hours of Monday, 20th febraury, near Dundakuli NH66 here at the outskirts of Kumta.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Afroz (16) and the injured identified as Muhammad Iqbal, both residents of Agargon near Gokarna of Kumta. Deceased Muhammad Afroz is the son of injured victim Muhammad Iqbal.

Sources said, the incident took place when both, father and son were on the way towards their home to Gokarna after attending the religious program that held in Kumta. The unknown car after hitting the bike, fled away from the spot. 

Seriously injured Muhammad Afroz, received unbearable injuries and breathed his last on the spot, while his injured father was immediately rushed to Kumta govt hospital for initial treatments. As the information spread, hundreds of people rushed near Kumta govt hospital. The body was handed over to the family at night around 3am, after conducting Post mortem process.

About the deceased Afroz, it's said that he was student of Mirzan's Urdu high school. 

In this regard, a case has been registered in Kumta police station.
