Udupi: As many as 84 people tested positive to Covid-19 in the district on Friday and the total number of Covid cases in Udupi increased to 1,979 as on Friday.

As many as 1,543 patients were discharged and 429 Covid-19 patients were being treated in different hospitals. As many as 414 swab samples are pending for results and 213 samples were sent for testing on Friday. As many as 309 samples had tested negative on Friday, while a total of 21,465 swab samples out of 23,858 samples had tested negative for Covid-19.
