Karwar : Eight more cases of Covid-19 were reported in Uttara Kannada district on Sunday. This apart, six people were discharged from the hospital.

Among the new cases, five are those who came from Maharashtra, two from Delhi and one from Uttar Pradesh. Five of them are from Bhatkal, two from Sirsi and one from Yellapur. 

Among those discharged include a nine-year-old boy from Dandeli, 62-year-old woman and 62-year-old man from Sirsi, a 12-year-old boy and 45-year-old man from Haliyal, 24-year-old woman from Joida and 35-year-old man from Kumta.

Currently, there are 32 active cases in the district and 106 people have recovered.
