Bhatkal: A 44-year-old man died on the spot after his scooter collided with a Lorry near Taluka Panchayat Office at National Highway 66, Bhatkal on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Qadir Istiyaque, a resident of Madeena Colony, Bhatkal.

He was travelling towards market area, when the Lorry was approaching in the same direction that rammed into his scooter.

The Bhatkal Town police have registered a case.
