Udupi: Four more Covid-19 fatalities were reported in Udupi on Tuesday. Those who died from Covid-19 include a 35-year-old man from Karkala, a 48-year-old man from Baindoor, a 66-year-old man and a 41-year-old man from Udupi taluk.

The total deaths in the district have increased to 66. On the other hand, 219 new cases were recorded in the district, taking the total tally to 6,510 cases.

The test results of 1,610 samples are pending in the district, said, officials.

Of the 219 cases, 161 were asymptomatic people.

Among the infected, 64 were primary contacts of already infected persons, while 39 were suffering from ILI, 2 with SARI symptoms. The contact tracing of 112 infected is underway, while one international traveller and another with interdistrict travel history have been tested positive.
