Bhatkal: A team of lifeguard at Murdeshwar beach in the taluk saved three tourists from drowning while they were swimming in the Arabian sea on Sunday evening.

The rescued tourists are the residents of Bengaluru who were identified as Harish SC (24), Anand (24), and Suresh (24). All are Civil engineers by profession.

The lifeguard team who rescued the victims were Shashidhar Naik, Chandrashekar Harikanth, Beach supervisor Narasimha Moger and Manjunath Shet.

Team of police personnel too were present on the spot.
