2,802 students to write SSLC exams in Sirsi taluk

Sirsi: All preparations have been done for conducting SSLC exams in Sirsi taluk from March 21 to April 4. As many as 2,802 students will write the exam here, informed Block Education Officer Sadanand Swamy.

The officer, in a press release issued here, said that 1,447 boys and 1,355 girls have registered to take up the SSLC exams which will be held in ten centres.

CCTV cameras have been fitted in all the exam centres to check exam-related malpractices.

Directions to students

This time, question and answer papers will be separate. The exams will begin at 9:30 am but the students have to be present in the examination hall before 9:15 am.

Students would not be allowed to enter the exam hall after 9:45 am. Students will be allowed to wear mechanical watches but no digital or smart watches will be allowed.

Exam staff

A custodian has been appointed in every exam centre to manage and keep a count of the question papers.

As many as 250 staff members have been deployed on exam duty. This includes chief superintendents of the exam centres, deputy chief superintendents, sitting exam squad, exam hall invigilators, office assistants and others, the BEO said and added that they had requested the authorities to provide services of one health assistant in every exam centre for providing first aid in case of medical emergencies.

Exam preparedness

The BEO said that the department has paid special attention towards the academic progress of the students in Sirsi taluk by conducting several programmes at school-level.

Motivational workshops have been conducted for students lagging in studies and they have been guided through means like remedial classes and passing package studies.
