21 dengue cases reported in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: As many as 21 new dengue cases were reported across the district on Monday.

The district administration and MCC collected a fine of Rs 45,000 from owners who were found to breed mosquito larvae, in Urva market, Barke, Ashok Nagar, and surrounding areas.

Student injured 

A student of I PUC in Government PU college in Bantwal, Shalini sustained injuries after being hit by a branch of an uprooted tree near Boregudda in B C Road on Monday.

On being informed, fire personnel swung into the action and removed the uprooted tree to facilitate the free flow of traffic.
