Bhatkal: The Karnataka SSLC examinations, which were postponed due to lockdown, have started from today, with strict security arrangements deployed outside the examination centers.
Block Education Officer MR Munji said that this time 2015 students in Bhatkal taluka are appearing for SSLC exam, including 1131 girls and 920 boys. In Bhatkal, examination centers have been set up at New English School, Sonarkeri Government High School, Islamia Anglo-Urdu High School, Anjuman Girls High School, Belke Government High School, Janta Vidyalaya Murdeshwar, National High School Murdeshwar, Beena Vaidya International High School in Murdeshwar. All precautionary and safety measures have been taken in all these 9 centers. Students are provided with free masks. Staffs of around 332 have been assigned to conduct the examinations with safety measures.
Nodal Officer Prakash Shirali said that at present a total of 23 students are appearing for the examination from the areas which have been declared as containment zones. A separate room has been provided for such students in their examination center. Masks, sanitizers, thermal screening etc have been fully arranged.
