Kumta: Two persons were injured after a car in which they were traveling in rammed into a divider on Bargi NH-66 in the outskirts of Kumta on Tuesday afternoon. 

The injured are identified as Mustansir Mohtisham (45) and Afeef Barmavar, residents of Bhatkal.

According to the sources the mishap happened when the duo were returning to their hometown Bhatkal from Goa in a car. The car got toppled after the driver lost control and went hitting a divider.

Mustansir sustained severe head injuries and is reported serious. He has been rushed to Mangalore hospital after providing first aid treatments at Kumta government hospital, while Afeef recieved minor injuries and is out of danger.
