Udupi: An eleven-year old girl died on the spot near Katapady Junction on Sunday, after the motorbike was knocked down by a truck from behind.

The deceased has been identified as Sushmitha, from Kateel.

Sushmitha was plying towards Udyavara from Kateel. When her uncle tried to overtake a bus which was stopped on the road to drop passengers, a truck hit the motorbike killing the pillion rider on the spot,as she lost balance and fell from the motorbike.
