Karwar: Railway Police recently seized Goan liquor bottles which were being illegally transported in a train.

Three bags containing around 106 bottles of liquor had been kept in the general bogie of Madgaon-Mangaluru Central train (Train no: 56641).

As none claimed to be the owner of the bags, they were subjected to checking.

The checking revealed that there were liquor bottles worth Rs 10,000 which were being transported in an illegal manner, said Railway Police.
