Kumta: As many as ten passengers travelling in tempo sustained severe injuries after coming in collision with a private bus on Moraba NH-66 in the outskirts of Kumta. The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, 7th July.

Sources said that the bus was heading towards Hubballi from Mangaluru, while tempo was moving towards Udupi from Badami during the incident.

The tempo was carrying around 12 passengers.

The injured were rushed to Kumta government hospital, while five among them who were reported serious were rushed to Manipal hospital for advanced treatment.

A case has been registered in Gokarna police station and further investigations are underway.
