Mangaluru: Around 1.1 kg of gold worth 35.32 lakhs was seized by the officials at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), which was found in the possession of two passengers.

The men had come from Doha in Air India Express.

The officials seized 462.97 gm gold worth Rs 14.81 lakh from a passenger. While the officials seized 641 gm gold worth Rs 20.51 lakh from another passenger, sources said.

The gold had been concealed in the form of paste in the rectum, the sources added.
