‘Reserve 25 Assembly seats for Hindu workers’

Udupi: Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik urged Pejawar Mutt seer Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha to persuade BJP to give a minimum of 25 seats to Hindu workers in the upcoming Assembly elections, on Wednesday.

Muthalik said that he had met Pejawar seer and the latter had promised to raise the issue with BJP leaders.

He told reporters that he believed it was high time for Hindu workers to be recognised for the sacrifices they make.

‘’If Hindu workers become MLAs, they will protect Hinduism and raise their voices for the survival of Hindutva,’’ he said.

He also condemned the BJP government for failing to drop the Goonda Act and other charges against Hindu workers.

The workers are sick of going to the court, he said.
