Bhatkal: A 22-Year-Old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to the roof of his house here in Azad nagar 4th cross, Bhatkal on Tuesday.

The deceased is identified as Muhammad Mustaqim Shaikh.

It is said that the youth was employed with aluminum works. Since no work due to lockdown for 2 months, he was earning a little with alternate works. It is also said that the youth was depressed after his parents had scolded him with some reasons.

As the information was received, Bhatkal town police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigation, after which the body was shifted to government hospital for post mortem.

A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
