Mangaluru: A 50 year old women allegedly commited suicide after jumping from Netravati bridge, late in the evening on 17th December. The woman is identified as Tulsi Vijay (50), resident of Kankanady bypass road, Mangalore.

According to sources, she get down from the bus at Jeppu and reached the bridge by walk before jumping the bridge.

A commuter who was an eyewitness of the tragedy informed Ullal police who immediately rushed to the spot. Police found her vanity bag with her identity card and sandles through which she have been identified and based on the id card the police informed her family members about the incident.

A huge traffic jam was seen soon after the incident on Netravati bridge, but police handled the situtation.

A case has been registered in Ullal police station about suicide and police are investigating the case.
