Uppinangady: A 40-year old unmarried woman died after falling into the well at Dekhaya at Nelmadi at Uppinangady. 

The deceased has been identified as Shobha. It is said that the deceased was mentally ill since many years.

As per the reports, Shobha had fallen into the well in the morning. Her neighbour, who are also her relatives got to know about it after some time and immediately retrieved her body from the well but it was too late.

A case stand registered at Dharmastala police station.

Man dies in a toilet at petrol bunk

Uppinangady: A tanker driver breathed his last in the toilet at the petrol bunk near Advalle of Sheradi grama.

The deceased has been identified as Uday Shelan, a resident of Salem of Tamil Nadu.

It is said that Uday parked his tanker along with the fellow driver Tenga Dauraye near the the petrol bunk and had gone to the toilet at night. The truck belongs to Murugan Corporation of Salem.

Next morning, his body was found in a sitting position in the toilet. It is presumed that he might have had a a heart attack.
