Water purifier set up in School

Sirsi: MLA Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said that the need of the hour is to have more number of voluntary social organizations which engage in various welfare activities without expecting much help from the government.

Speaking after inaugurating a pure drinking water unit set up at accost of Rs six lakh at rotary Club Marikamba Government High School in Sirsi on Thursday, Mr Hegde said that it was better if social organizations came forward and worked independently to bring visible changes in the society without depending on the government alone.  The pure drinking water unit set up by Rotary club serves as a role model in this regard.

He said that children need pure drinking water along with Mid-Day meals and thus, the pure drinking water unit will be a boon for the students.

Rotary Club President Ramachandra Prabhu, Arun Nayak, RA Khaji, Satiish Bhat, Dhanyakumar, Marikamba College Principal DN Bhat, Vice-principal Nagraj Naik, Rajeev Shetty and others were present.
