Karwar: Vidyashree Chandragi takes charge as the new Assistant Commissioner of Karwar. The newly appointed AC is from Belgaum and is of 2014 KAS Batch Officer.

Vidyashree Chandragi started her career as a Probationary in Kolar district for one year and then after service for two years in BWC, now has taken over the charge as Karwar AC. On her first visit to Karwar, she said that the atmosphere here is very pleasant, the people are also very kind-hearted, simple and serious.  During the Gram Panchayat elections, I have personally visited 18 Gram Panchayats here and inspected the situation, she said.

She said that all necessary steps have been taken under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner to conduct Gram Panchayat elections in a smooth way. "I sincerely hope that the staff here will support me as much as they did the previous officers", she added.
