Karwar: Vaccines were administered to 41 Muslims at district hospital here on Thursday. The vaccines were given to those pilgrims who would be performing the Annual Haj from Uttara Kannada district next month.

Vaccination protection was provided against certain contagious diseases to the pilgrims well in advance of the beginning of the Mecca pilgrimage.

Sahil Social Welfare Trust in Association with Haj Committee had organised the vaccination drive and the President Mohammed Kalim Sheik presided the function.

Karwar Government Medical College Director SL Doddamani inaugurated the drive.

District Hospital Surgeon Shivanand Kudtalkar, Kaiga NPC Human Resource Department Chief Ahmed Ansari, Lions Club President Hanif Mulla, and others were present.
