Ullal: Three two-wheelers parked outside a restaurant near Thokkuttu were buried after a concrete slab covering a well collapsed on Friday late night.
The vehicles, owned by Anil, Machalin and Oswald, had parked on the concrete slab.
During the widening of the national highway, the authorities had taken over the land in front of the bar and had filled the well with mud before covering it with concrete slab.
Owing to heavy rainfall, however, the concrete slab was damaged and, as a result, the vehicles parked on it collapsed into the well.
A three-hour operation was carried out by the police, fire service staff members and public to pull out the two-wheelers.
The water in the well had be flushed out using a pumpset for one hour. Using a crane, two bikes were removed.
One more two-wheeler is still inside the well and could not be recovered.
