Udupi:  A 75-year-old man from Karkala taluk, who was suspected to be suffering from coronavirus infection,  has been tested negative.

The senior citizen was admitted to the District Government Hospital, Ajjarakadu, on Wednesday night after he showed the symptoms of coronavirus.

He and his wife had visited their son’s family in Israel recently.

A task force formed in the district got him admitted in the isolation ward at the hospital. His blood samples and throat swabs had been sent to Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute for a test. His wife has reported no health-related complications.
