Udupi: A head-on collision between a private bus and an ambulance reported at Heroor bridge near Brahmavar on Monday resulting in which the ambulance driver was injured and the National Highway was blocked for more than one and a half hour.

According to sources, the ambulance was returning back to Shivamogga after dropping a patient at KMC hospital in Manipal. It is said that the ambulance was in very high speed and the accident occurred due to the rash and negligent driving of the ambulance driver. The ambulance driver identified as Arun Manjunath injured in the collision and he was getting locked in the damaged ambulance for more than one hour.

The bus was playing between Brahmavar and Udupi.
