Kundapur: The traffic breakdown for more than two hours was seen on the National Highway of Jaladi near Kundapur, after multiple tyres of a massive truck suddenly burst, reported on 19th April, Wednesday.

Accoring to sources, the truck was on the way to Hubli from Mangalore. It might be noted that, the construction work for the four way lane of highway in this region is very slow in process. Vehicles are diverted with alternate route since many days as the work is incomplete. Sadly, this alternate route suits less for heavy and multi-axle trucks and makes it difficult for them to ply safely. This made the truck's tyres burst, resulting in a severe traffic breakdown for more than two hours.

The police personnel rushed to the spot as soon as the information was received. Not only the public, but also police sweated off trying to clear the road. Finally, after hectic service from police personnel, the traffic was cleared.
