Bhatkal: Two fishing boats capsized and drowned in the Arabian Sea near Tengingundi in Bhatkal taluk on 6th febraury, Monday, after it was carried away by the heavy lashing sea waves.

All the fishermen in the boats were luckily rescued by other boats. Around eight fishermen had entered the sea for fishing in two boats. The incident took place while returning to the shore after fishing. 

As per the sources, the estimated loss due to the capsizing of boat has been estimated around rupees 30 lakhs.
