Mangaluru: Two individuals drowned in Nethravati river at Barimaru village in Bantwalrural police station limits on Saturday.

They have been identified as Ajith, 40, and Manish, 16. According to police, a group of five to six persons from Kumble in Kasaragod had come to the house of Sanjeeva Bovi, a resident of the village, to participate in a marriage function. After having their lunch, the group decided to have a bath in Nethravati river.
