Mangaluru: All train services from Sunday to March 31 were cancelled by Southern Railways (SR) to strengthen the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.

The passengers will receive a refund on submitting ticket for up to three months from the date of journey (instead of existing rule of three days/72 hours excluding day of journey).

SR appealed to passengers not to visit stations for claiming refund of the reserved ticket at PRS counters in reservation office as they will not be functioning up to March 31.

No fresh advance booking in ticket counters and reservation office will be done till March 31. However, online booking for advance reservation through IRCTC website will remain available. ‘UTSonMobile app’ also was suspended upto March 31, stated the press release.
