Bhatkal: Three people were injured in two separate road accidents in Bhatkal on Sunday. One of them has been shifted to Udupi after first aid from a government hospital, while the other two were given treatment from a nearby hospital.
In one of two accidents that happened on National Highway near Bengre in Bhatkal taluk, a car collided with a bike. The bikers, identified as Rama Manjunath Moger, 54, and Nagaraj Rama Moger, 22, were reportedly injured. It is learned that Rama Moger was seriously injured in the accident and was shifted to Udupi Hospital.
The second accident took place near Urban Bank on Sunday evening, when an auto rickshaw collided with a parked lorry. The injured here is identified as rickshaw driver Mushtaq Mauda, 36. It is reported that the passengers on the rickshaw were safe, however, the front glass of the rickshaw was damaged. It is learned that the lorry had left from Bijapur to Mangalore, which was parked aside the main road as the driver missed the road.
It has been reported that the mishap happened just ten minutes after the lorry was parked.
