Karwar: Various sports and parasailing activities would be organised as a part of Karavali Utsav to be held for three days from December 10 to 12 and entertainment programmes would be the main attraction, Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul said.

Briefing reporters, here on Friday, he said a dog show would be held at Maladevi ground on December 10 at 9:30 am. December 7 would be the last date for enrolment. The first price would be Rs 7500, second price Rs 5000 and third price would be Rs 3000. An art and rangoli competition would be organised on December 10 at deputy commissioner’s office premises.

The artists of the district would display their art during the exhibition. A Chitra Sante on the same lines of Bengaluru would be organised.

A folk dance competition would be organised at ranga mandir on December 10 at 10:30 am. Beach volleyball would be held on Tagore Beach at 4 pm on the same day.

On December 11, Kabaddi would be held at Maladevi ground. Skit would be held at Tagore Beach.

Cooking competition, voice of Uttara Kannada for high school and college students would be held on December 12. Fashion show and boat riding competition would also be held.

For the front row seats Rs 1000 and Rs 500 entry fee would be fixed.

One ticket could be used for three days events, he said.
